My daschund who is 8 years old and male has a swollen ball on his right neck. He is acting completely normal but how likely is this lump cancerous? How likely is lymphoma in this situation?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This could be a benign or malignant growth. This could in fact be an enlarged lymph node. The fact that it is just in one place, if it truly is just one lymph node, makes lymphoma less likely. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Frankie evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
