My dog ate Advil and is vomiting. Is he okay? When to call vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 8 months and 10 days old | 70 lbs

My husband and I went to dinner and came home to a bottle of advil chewed up with the remaining pills across the couch and floor. Not sure if any were ingested, but Buckshot has vomited 4 times. As long as he's vomiting, will he be ok?

Immediate check up is required as this intoxication could lead to severe side effects like gastrointestinal ulcerations and acute kidney failure. It is essential to take Buckshot ASAP to your local veterinarian.
