My puppy is not eating and lethargic. Is it parvo or distemper?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 3 days old | 9.37 lbs

Hi. My puppy is not eating and doesn't move around often. It started just yesterday. Her 2 brothers died because of the same reason. The only difference is that she is not drooling like what her brothers was like before they died. Her brothers even experienced bleeding from the anus before they died. I don't know what to do. Please help me, please help my baby Mocha.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am so sorry!! Mocha should see a Vet today! If her litter mates have died from similar symptoms I would really worry about infectious causes like distemper or parvo virus. Hereditary, intestinal parasites or toxin ingestion are also possible. The best way to help her is to have a Vet look at her and discuss testing with you. I wish you the best
