He should be immune to parvo for at least a year after having had parvo. It is likely a gastrointestinal problem. Diarrhea and throwing up can have many causes such as a problem with the stomach and intestines caused by a food over sensitivity, eating something that does not agree with the dog, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc. I would fast Nubs for 24 hours and then put the dog on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, it needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Once he has had parvo, he will not get sick from parvo ever again, so this is something else. Feed him a bland diet (chicken and rice) for the next couple of days and take him to your vet for an exam, possible X-rays and or lab work, and treatment if he’s getting worse or is not improving. It is very unlikely that your dog has Parvo again. It is almost impossible for them to become sick with it a second time, especially if he is up-to-date on his vaccines. Vomiting and diarrhea together is commonly referred to as gastroenteritis. There can be several causes including pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites and a foreign body/blockage. Since Milo has been so sick for over 24 hours I would recommend taking him to the vet to be evaluated. Your vet may recommend blood work and X-rays to figure out what exactly is going on. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Best of luck.
