My senior dog is vomiting, not eating, and vets can't diagnose.

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | 10 years and 5 months old | 60 lbs

I have a dog, near to be 11 years old. It is a Golden Retriever breed. Since last 15 days, it has been regularly vomitting, and lost unterest in eating. I am regularly visitibg doctor's since last 15 days, they infuse DNS or other fluid and some injections, but are unable to diagnose the problem. I gave deworming 6 months back, and at present it defecates with hardship but stool is consistent. No blood from vomit or stool. It has lost appetite, losing weight and continuous vomit. Help !

Hello, I am sorry to hear about Marshall. Vomiting and lack of appetite can be a sign of many underlying conditions such as inflammation within the GI tract, pancreatitis, liver disease, or kidney disease. If it has not been performed already I would recommend having your veterinarian perform full blood work and abdominal X-rays if possible. If these diagnostics are not feasible, it would be prudent to give Marshall a course of antibiotics in case of infection and anti-nausea and antacid medications. I hope this helps!
