Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Male | unneutered | 19 days old | 0.3 lbs
My two purebred Siamese and Balinese cats had a litter of one kitten. Her mother's nipples and aeriolas swelled up immediately after birth and she wasn't able to nurse so I've been hand feeding him. At 3 weeks, he's the size and has the cognitive functions of a 3 day old kitten. He can't keep his head still, or center himself without falling over. He stiffens his limbs and makes unusual movements with his front legs and is all around shaky and like a bobble toy. What might this be?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Mini. He will need to see a veterinarian to determine the cause of his problems. I suspect that he was born with a congenital problem in his brain. There is a condition known as cerebral hypoplasia that matches some of his symptoms. This could be the source of his problem. He could also be ill with an infection. In the meantime, continue to feed him as you have been doing. I hope this information helps.
