My dog has a deep leg cut. Should I cover it or take her to the vet?

My girl Lexi ran in front of the golf cart and scratched her leg. No bleeding but cut seems deep. I cleaned it but she won't let me bandage it. Snaps at me. Should it be covered?

That appears to be through the skin but not into the muscle. Ideally, it should be addressed by your veterinarian. Lexi may need to have that wound cleaned up then sutured closed. Antibiotics and pain medication may also be indicated. Place an e-collar (cone) on her until she sees the doctor.
