My 6 month old puppy will sometimes have frequent runny diarrhea. Sometimes he can’t control it because it comes on so fast. This has happened twice about a month or 2 apart but I’m not sure what’s causing it? It will normally last about 2-3 days then subsides- he eats and drinks as normal during that time as well. He recently has been trying to get into the garbage and drinking out of the toilet but this wasn’t something he was doing the first time this happened either. Please help :(

Finn is so handsome! A common cause of diarrhea in puppies is intestinal worms. It could be he has a heavy burden of intestinal worms causing these symptoms. If he isn't up to date on his deworming treatments, I would give him one now and another in two weeks. After that, he should be dewormed every three months. Should he be up to date on his deworming treatments, I would take him into the vet to have him checked out to determine the cause of his diarrhea. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
