I took my kitten to the vet last Friday. She had a scratch in her right eye. They gave us some antibiotics and I’ve been putting them in her eye like that said to. We have a check up appointment this Friday, but I’m worried about her eye still. It’s looking a little red around the edges. Is this a normal reaction? I’m sure it’s been bugging her a bit, but I want to know if I should take her to see a vet sooner than Friday.

Oh my, Newt is such a beautiful kitten! It appears from the picture that she is squinting one eye, and I wonder if that's the one that has the scratch in it. There will be improvement over time with the medication, and if it's less red than before, then this is normal. If it is still bugging her, however, then I think having her seen by a vet before Friday would be best, especially if you still have concerns. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
