hello. my female french bulldog is on period. her vagina is swollen. inside her 2 bottom niple there are two glands swollen. is it caused by period? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 8 months old | 22 lbs

Dogs do not have periods like people do, instead they have a heat cycle. This can cause swelling of the vaginal area as well as the nipples as hormonal changes will lead to this. If you don't wish to have puppies, I highly recommend having Neka spayed. Spaying can also prevent uterine infections (pyometra) and decrease the chances of some cancers.
