My puppy is vomiting often. How do I stop him from throwing up?

Please, my dog has 2 and a half monts he is stafford and he is vomiting very often for 3 days. Our local vet said that we dont give him any food and water, he is on infusion for since yesterday. I'm very scared, he is still puppy and I really don't wanna lose him, is there any way that I can stop his vomiting? I have been searching everywhere. Please, can you give me any advices hot to handle this. Pet's info: Dog | American Staffordshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 11 days old

Does he have an infection such as the parvovirus, intestinal parasites or did he eat something he shouldn't have such as a piece of a toy. Fecal testing and x-rays may be necessary. With this information treatment can be prescribed. He may need antibiotics, deworming medication, continued fluid therapy and a medication such as Cerenia to stop his vomiting.
