My puppy is vomiting often. How do I stop him from throwing up?

Please, my dog has 2 and a half monts he is stafford and he is vomiting very often for 3 days. Our local vet said that we dont give him any food and water, he is on infusion for since yesterday. I'm very scared, he is still puppy and I really don't wanna lose him, is there any way that I can stop his vomiting? I have been searching everywhere. Please, can you give me any advices hot to handle this.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Harry. First, your veterinarian needs to determine why he is vomiting so frequently. Does he have an infection such as the parvovirus, intestinal parasites or did he eat something he shouldn't have such as a piece of a toy. Fecal testing and x-rays may be necessary. With this information treatment can be prescribed. He may need antibiotics, deworming medication, continued fluid therapy and a medication such as Cerenia to stop his vomiting.
