My Bischon yorkie has had the runs for a few days now. It started with vomiting a few times, then having to go from the other end right away. She's had the runs for a few days. She won't eat or drink much. And she's having to go every few hours at night. Can I try pepto before bringing her to the vet?she's about 10 pounds. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I would recommend having her seen since the weekend is approaching and she isn't eating well. If she got worse during the weekend you would have to take her to an emergency hospital. If you want to wait then start a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs until 2 normal stools. We always recommend caution with human medications.
