Pet's info: Dog | Labradoodle | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 60 lbs
I’m not sure what to do. I feel that Rumple is under weight given that he is 58lbs and was just told that his hips are still immature yet he has only gained 6lbs since March. According to the Petco Pet Education Center weight checker, he is slightly under weight. Rumple will not eat his breakfast since I am not home and then at dinner he will only eat a few bites. I am in the process of switching his food from Ultra Grain Free Large Breed Puppy to Nutro Large Breed Puppy. If I put treats he digs around to find.

Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your question about Rumple. From your pictures of him (he's a cutie!), it does look like he's a little thin, but without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. I think having a check up by the vet is the best idea. It is concerning that he's not eating breakfast and only eats a little bit of dinner. There could be a number of reasons behind this decreased appetite such as dental problems, intestinal worms, or a systemic illness to name a few. Having him checked out by the vet will identify why he's not eating as much, and how to help him so that he can gain more weight and get to a healthy weight. I would take him into a vet tomorrow if possible. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
