Check the water temperature and chemistry. Low temps can affect digestion in fish. Bettas are tropical fish and do best between 78 F and 80 F. After water temp is squared away, make sure he has clean water without any ammonia or nitrites. Fast him for 2-3 days, then offer tiny bits of cooked and shelled green peas. This will help with constipation and swim bladder disease. Feed peas until swimming and defecation are normal.
