Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Poodle | Female | spayed | 2 years and 10 months old | 17 lbs

My dog is about to be three years old next month. She is a poodle toy . Since Thursday for about 2 days now she Has been bleeding from her behind it looks like the picture below. (With a little vomiting) I don’t have money to take her in I just want to know what it is so I can try to come up with the money ASAP . Or if there’s any way I can help her treat this at home. Is it really bad ? What is it ?Anything helps ! Thank you.

Hi. Poor Julie. This is concerning for sure. With blood from that area, it could be from her anal glands, her colon, or her rectum. Without an exam it is too hard to say. This is something that shouldn't wait for the pets own comfort. Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do at home in this situation. I recommend going to the ER as the best thing for Julie
