Spayed cat has a belly lump weeks after surgery. Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 months and 16 days old | 6 lbs

Hi, my cat has recently developed a sort of Lump on her belly after 20 days of being spayed. She also had one lump a 3 or 4 days after her surgery but then, another one growth on her belly. She's eating and playing just fine but I still feel a bit uneasy about the situation. Is this something I should be worried about?

That could be a reaction on the site of the surgery, which could possibly self resolve with time. I would recommend just to monitor it at this stage and if not improving or if deteriorating, I would recommend a check up to confirm clinical suspicion at least.
