I heard that dawn dish soap helps with getting rid of fleas, so while i was pouring the soap on my dog he moved and got some on his eye i quickly grabbed a wash cloth soaked it with water and tried to remove it. Later on the day my dog’s eye got all red and swollen and i started panicking i read that saline solution and chamomile help the eye, is that true or should i be worried more??

Saline solution will help to wash out residue, but I would recommend that you have Max checked out by a vet ASAP. Some irritants can cause corneal ulceration or pretty intense pain (I got a face wash in my eye once and could barely open my eye). The vet will likely use a stain to check for any ulcers or damage to the cornea, and then prescribe medications to decrease the inflammation and pain. Dawn dish soap (or any soap, for that matter) will remove fleas on the skin, but it will not prevent more from jumping on after the bath. Fleas don't live on the dog, they only jump on for a quick bite to eat and then jump off to lay eggs.
