My old cat is sick, not eating, vomiting, and hiding. What to do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Maine Coon | Female | spayed | 13 lbs

My cat is 12 years old and she has stuff coming from her eyes, she doesn't eat and hasn't come out from under the bed in about 2 days. She also hasn't pooped or peed either. I'm getting really worried and I'm not sure what to do. She also has been puking foam and every time she does, she makes a squeaking noise. PLEASE HELP! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

If your cat hasn't eaten in a couple of days, she needs to be seen by a veterinarian immediately. Cats will suffer serious liver damage if they don't eat regularly. The rest of the symptoms indicate she is very ill and should be seen right away. Your vet will do an exam, lab work, possibly x-rays, and based on these results, your vet will be better able to tell what's wrong with her and how best to treat it.
