How to stop my older German Shepherd from attacking new puppies?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 9 months old

My 3 yr old male GSD, who we keep outside wanted to attack our two 3 month old GSD who we been keeping inside. Thankfully we stopped him in time. He probably hasn't seen them in a month or two but was fine with them before. What can we do so he can stop this behavior?.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Usually these behaviors can be corrected but this usually requires in person training by a qualified dog trainer. I recommend you consider hiring a qualified dog trainer to work with you in person. Good luck and have a good night!
