How to stop my older German Shepherd from attacking new puppies?

My 3 yr old male GSD, who we keep outside wanted to attack our two 3 month old GSD who we been keeping inside. Thankfully we stopped him in time. He probably hasn't seen them in a month or two but was fine with them before. What can we do so he can stop this behavior?. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 9 months old
