My dog has pyometra. Can she still go into heat and show symptoms?

Can dog with open pyometra go into heat?my dog was diagnosed with open pyometra 2 months ago but she is 10 and is old for surgery so I backed it out.earlier she was having discharge thick slimy stretchy white or brown but now it has turned into bloody watery constant.she is drinking more and wants male dogs n they also attracted to her n not eating food.is she now getting septic?is she in heat?what should I do plz help.

Yes she could be in heat or possibly another infection is building up inside the uterus again. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics may be needed.
