Bringing home a new puppy: Crate or bed for the first night?

Bring my puppy home tomorrow anything I should do to make it a better experience? Should i crate her or keep her with me at night the first days

Congratulations on your new puppy! Thank you for submitting your question. I would start the puppy wherever you ultimately want her to sleep. If you plan to crate train her (it does help to keep her safe and allows for faster house training), then set this expectation from the very first night. It is unfair to allow her to sleep with you for a few nights and then change the rules on her. She will not understand. Make the crate her safe place. Give her special treats or toys in there so that she likes it. Never use it for punishment for time out. I hope this information helps!
