Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 7 years old
My husky/malamute is on vetprofen for hip dysplasia and arthritis. It seems to help her, but I can tell that she wants to do more than she is able to. I ordered her an organic turmeric and curcumin supplement to take. I haven't received it yet, but I wondered if that is okay for her to take with the vetprofen. She takes 1/2 of a 50 mg tablet twice a day. She also takes: Trazadone (for anxiety/PTSD) Zoloft (for depression) Proin I hate giving her pills, but I want her to be healthy and happy.

Yes, it’s fine to give. Please follow the directions. I would also give her an Omega3 supplement since that will also reduce the inflammation and her pain from the arthritis. You may also want to consult a Rehabilitation Veterinarian in your area. They can give home care exercises, build muscle strength with hydrotherapy and many also do acupuncture to reduce the pain. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Phoebe.
