Is cow-based cat & kitten milk safe for my kitten's digestion?

Last question I promise. The part when u said that my kitten cannot drink cow milk, I actually just bought it yesterday before you answered me. But it's a cat & kitten milk and it's from the cow. Can she drink this since she only poop once a day?

Feel free to ask as many questions as you want, that's what we are here for :-) This milk is absolutely fine to give to Okoye. It's lactose free, and it's lactose that cats are intolerant to and cannot have due to the GI side effects. It's ok for her to drink this. I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Sadly cow’s milk is not ideal nutrition for a kitten. Kitten formula is ideal and most pet stores and veterinary hospitals carry it. It can also be found online. Meow meow should be bottle fed every 2-3 hours and then stimulated to urinate and defecate after each meal. You do this by gently rubbing the anus and vulva with a soft moist cloth. I recommend early weaning in bottle fed kittens so at 3-4 weeks by mixing the formula with canned kitten food. If she will not take a bottle she needs to see a vet and you may need to be taught how to tune feed. Otherwise she is at risk for starvation, dehydration, low blood sugar and even death. Is it ok to give boiled chicken and meat to a kitten of 16 weeks only for lunch and for break fast he should be given cat food and for dinner cat food along with cow milk(water added to dilute it)
It would ideally best to give good quality cat food for kittens as the diet would be more balanced and nutritionally complete to match all his needs. Cow milk is not necessary (even diluted) and can cause diarrhoea. My Persian cat is 6 months old.Can I give her cow's milk.
No. Kitty was weaned by her mother between 5-8 weeks of age. She no longer needs milk and it could even upset her stomach. Make sure you are feeding a balanced, commercial kitten food and this will include all the calcium she needs. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Don't worry! You haven't messed up her GI system :-) Likely, a little won't hurt every now and then, but because it normally does cause GI upset, it's best to avoid it completely. It's ok, no need to get upset. You are doing the right thing by not giving it to her anymore. I bet if you give her a little white meat chicken (no bones) as an occasional treat instead, Negra will be quite the happy kitty :)

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Actually most adult cats and dogs are lactose intolerant. In some cats milk or dairy products can cause vomit or diarrhea. But others tolerate it. My opinion is if Jhumru doesn't get sick from milk then there is no reason to stop, but watch for any signs of an upset stomach. Your kitten should be okay and you do not need to try to flush his system. If he is not used to drinking milk, he may experience some soft bowel movements for a day or two, but that should resolve on its own if it does occur.

If you are feeding cow's milk, then yes it can cause diarrhea in cats. Cats are lactose intolerant, and don't have the right enzymes to properly digest cow (or similar) milk, which can lead to diarrhea. if you'd like to give Moca a "milk" treat, there are specially made cat milk treats that can be found at your local pet store. It has a similar taste to cow's milk that cats like, but shouldn't give them GI upset like regular milk as long as it's given as a treat.

Cows milk is not good to give to kittens because cats are lactose intolerant and it causes GI upset. Feed Tom a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting Best of luck.

Many cats are lactose intolerant and can develop vomiting and diarrhea as a result of ingesting dairy products. There is no need to give Bent any cow's milk and if anything, it can cause more harm than good. If he is under 4-5 weeks of age, he should be receiving kitten formula (Esbilac is one example). Canned or moistened kibble kitten food can be introduced around 4 weeks of age.
