Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 8 months old
My dog recently had a course of antibiotics from local vet. This was due to damage on her tail. Vet said she could have athritis in her back but now she can't walk eat drink or isn't urinating much either. Today I noticed her back left leg is swollen and she can't bare any weight on her back end at all

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Roxy! Roxy looks very sick from your pictures and I recommend you take her to a Vet as soon as possible today. I do not think arthritis in her spine is causing the leg swelling or for her to not eat. I am worried about an infected uterus (pyometra which is a surgical emergency), a mass in her belly that may be bleeding, kidney or liver failure, infectious disease. After your Vet examines her they may want to do blood work and X-rays. Sometimes the legs can swell if some blood proteins are very low or if there is a mass pushing on organs or great vessels in the belly. I hope this helps and I wish you and Roxy the very best!
