What's causing my Yorkie's eye rash, swelling, scabs, and hair loss?

My Yorkie has a rash above her eye and hair is falling out. Her eye is swollen and red. The rash has scabs. Do you know what this is and how can I track it? Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Holly. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian as she appears to have deep skin infection surrounding her eye. She will likely need an extended course of antibiotics for her skin to heal. This may have occured secondary to a food allergy or a primary eye problem making her painful. In the meantime, do not allow her to paw the eye. I hope this information helps!
