Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed | 12 years and 9 months old | 6.5 lbs
Hi, our 12 year old cat has been lethargic for a few days, not eating or drinking so much. had sickness and diarrhea 2 days ago and eaten this morning but not been sick or to the toilet at all since. took her to vet this morning and given her Protexin Pro-Kolin Enterogenic, which she has had one 2ml dose so far. However, no longer drinking or eating her favourite treats. any ideas?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. The concern is that if she is not drinking water, she will become dehydrated. If this continues, I recommend that you have Mitzie reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a great day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
