i am fostering a kitten thru a rescue org. i’m told they all come up on transport from shelter in georgia 2 new york a little congested- but this seems like more. yellow discharge coming from eyes, lethargic(done nothing but sleep all day), breathing thru mouth cause nose is so congested, earlier she had a bloody nose. she eats but only a little. i asked some people who run the rescue and no one seems to think she needs vet care but i’m worried. i wish icould add more details but the chart limit

Don't believe them Your kitty needs vet care. A clinical exam will determine how bad this upper respiratory infection is. Blood coming from the nose is serious in a kitten, and could point to a fungal or severe bacterial and viral infection. This kitten will need prescription antibiotics. If you are able, take its temperature, it will likely have a fever. You will need to wipe the discharge from the nostrils reularly as kittens will not eat if they cannot taste the food. This little boy looks pretty miserable, so I do suggest you take him to a vet for an exam and treatment. Thank you for taking care of him!
