Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 11 days old | 3 lbs
Ruby seems to struggle with being alone. If we go somewhere that we can't take her, we crate her while we're gone. We only leave her alone for 2-3 hours at most. She seems to panic as soon as we come home. She screams as soon as she hears the porch gate open & continues to scream for up to an hour after we're home. It's not whining, it's high pitched constant screams. I'm worried that she may have some sort of nerve problem or extreme anxiety. Can you please give me some information about this?

Hi there and thank you for using PetCoach to address your concern. This sounds to me like a case of severe separation anxiety. I would recommend having a read of the following article to help guide you on how to address this problem. You can even use supplements such as NaturVet Quiet Moments with Melatonin to help calm Ruby down when you leave her alone. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further. ( https://www.petcoach.co/article/separation-anxiety/ )
