Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 3 months old
Hi, I noticed a red spot on my cat’s vagina. When I picked her up, it seemed to me what looked like a droplet of blood mixed with discharge;it was watery. Her behavior is normal, but a few days ago she was lethargic; today she is behaving normally aside from the droplet. I’m scared. What should I do?

This is concerning to me in that I see Gia isn't spayed. If you are seeing blood and discharge coming from her genital area, it could be she is suffering from a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. It could also be that she is suffering from feline idiopathic cystitis or bladder stones. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain but I feel she should see a vet now. With the rest of a pyometra and the fact it's fatal without treatment, seeing a vet now is safest and best for her. I hope this helps.

Hope may have a urinary tract infection. There should not be any type of discharge from her vulva. Unfortunately there is also always a risk that she can get a uterine infection as long as she is not spayed. Both are conditions that need immediate attention so I suggest you make an appointment with your vet. You may also want to consider having Hope spayed so she does not have to go through those horrible long heat periods (which last basically until she finds a tom to mate with.....hormonal turmoil)
