My dog is 1.5 yrs old. It was very hot outside yesterday and I had cooled her off in the lake yesterday. When she was eating supper she helped a little bit. She puked and had diarriah last night. She is acting herself a bit tired yesterday. I took her for a walk and she pooped lite brown runny poop and had some spots of bright red blood come out after. All the vets are closed where I am.

If she is behaving normally, withhold food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with 1 tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Feed bland until the stool is normal then transition slowly to the regular diet. If symptoms persist or if Genie develops lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain then have her physically examined by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER.
