Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed
My 5+lab was treated for false pregnancy which is now under control. No longer lactating or showing signs of conceiving. However, her appetite is yet to be back. She has not eaten anything for a week and is on dns now. She turns around whenever food is offered. Shes vomiting regularly if not administered zoffer or stematil. Vet says to continue the meds. Her hameoglobin count is a 10 and left results are just normal. Can you help suggesting a better advice please.

Often times the same dogs who develop false pregnancy will also develop a pyometra, or pus filled uterus. This is a very life threatening disease and needs surgery ASAP if that is the problem. X-rays can be helpful to diagnose it, but occasionally ultrasound or exploratory surgery is needed. I would highly encourage you to have a follow up appointment with your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
