My dog strains to poop, has hard stool, and blood. What can I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 2 years and 3 months old | 16.7 lbs

I was taking my dog out and he was doing his buisness, but as i was waiting i heard him whimper and i check on him and he hasent pooped anything out and as i reach for the bag to see if he needs help he poops one littel peice as i pick it up he still needs to poop so i get another bag and i help him but as i took the poop out to help him i saw a tiny drop of blood and then i went inside and i took him out later but he did buisness hard What should I do or Give him?

It sounds like he is a bit dehydrated and now is getting backed up. You can try adding in water to his food and a stool softener (over the counter). He also needs a probiotic (Culturelle over the counter works well) to help with the blood. However, if he is still having issues after 24-48 hrs, he needs to see your vet for an enema, fluid therapy and likely antibiotics. I hope that Yogi's defecating issues resolve soon!
