Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 14 years and 8 months old
My 14 yr old, 33 lb dog has arthritis in his back. Tramadol isn't helping & he's been panting like crazy from distress since last night. Our vet can't see him until Monday (it's Friday). He last took Tramadol 13 hrs ago. Can we safely give him CBD oil (a brand ww bought that's made for dogs & cats) to help with the pain or do we need to wait 24 hours to make sure the Tramadol is out of his system?

You can use CBD oil together with tramadol, i hope she is also taking some other pain killer such as Metacam, Previcox or Rymadil as Tramadol alone is usually not enough for arthritis. as she has taken Tramadol 13 hours ago she can have another dose of Tramadol now as well (tramadol works for 8-12 hours max). it would also be helpful to know what dosage of tramadol she is on, maybe she is not on the maximum dosage and the dosage could potentially be increased.
