My dog had one loose stool. Should I worry if he's acting normal?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 3 years and 6 months old | 80 lbs

Hi I was walking my dog this morning and everything was fine. Now I walked him one the evening and he had some diarrhea. Not all the way but s very loose stool. I gave him a treat yesterday but I usually give him those treats with no issue. should I be worried if it happens again ? I don't want to take him to the vet for no reason. He's acting normal and everything is fine.

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I wouldn't get too worried yet. If the softer loose stool happens again or more frequently, I would recommend a veterinary visit. However, if it just happened once, there is no need to rush off to the vet. If needed, you can save a fresh stool sample (12 hours fresh) and take it with you to your veterinary visit if it comes to that. Your veterinarian will most likely want to test his stool during the appointment. I hope this helps and thanks again for posting!
