Is it normal for my 2 month old puppy to howl or cry when she goes outside to potty/play or even when she’s near by me out of her crate? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 9 days old | 8 lbs

Some puppies are more vocal than others, and in general puppies tend to howl or whine instead of barking. It can be an attention seeking behavior, or it can be something they do to express excitement or fear. To discourage this behavior it can be helpful to teach a command like 'quiet', and to focus on ignoring and redirecting the behavior.
