Hi, I have a chihuahua that is two years old. He has had problems with his right eye the last two days and I was wondering what that could've been because his eye has been shut. Thank you.

A swollen eye is always an emergency and you need to take Bruno to a veterinarian today. He could have severe conjunctivitis, a corneal ulcer or injury or other problem which could damage his vision if not treated. Your vet will examine the eye and surrounding structures, check the cornea for injury, and look into the eye with an ophthalmoscope. Treatment varies with the diagnosis. Please take him to a vet today.
