Nova at two bananas. Will this cause her GI upset? Also is watermelon safe ? Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 54.3 lbs

Bananas are not toxic to dogs, but a dog eating anything out of the ordinary has the potential to cause GI upset. Dogs and their intestines are used to consistency, so if a new type of food is introduced, there is always a risk of GI upset, likely only mild in nature. Watermelon is also non-toxic, but should NEVER be given to a dog with the rind attached. Eating the rind puts your dog at risk of a gastrointestinal obstruction, or a blockage of their intestines, which is a surgical emergency. I hope this is helpful!
