Why is my Chihuahua lethargic, not eating, and only drinking from my hand?

Question

My Chihuahua that is 2 yrs old started being very lethargic tired not really eating or drinking from sunday night . I keep offering her water but she is only drinking it from my hand . Im not sure if it the weather or something serious. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female

Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid that she could be getting dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a great day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
