My cat has liquid poop, red butt, and is tired. How can I help him?

my cat pooped liquid.and he always licks his butt(even he isn't pooping).he normally eats and drinks water but he look tired and sleeps a lot.now his butt turned red .please tell me that how i can cure my cat. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male

Diarrhea is a signs referring to a intestinal problem. It could be due to dietary indiscretion, parasitic infestation, inflammatory disease (IBD inflammatory bowel disease), bacterial diseases or viral diseases. Even if less likely, neoplastic disease cannot be ruled out at this stage. You could provide some bland diet for the next 24-48 hrs (boiled breast chicken or white fish or gastrointestinal commercial diet) You could also add some prebiotics and probiotics to his diet, you can fined them at your local pet store.  If he doesn't improve or you can spot blood in the faces or if he get lethargic and not eating, or if he start vomiting, I would suggest to have her checked by your veterinarian as soon as possible.  Good luck and post again on the forum if you need further advices.
