I’m so sorry your puppy has a corneal ulcer! If the ulcer is uncomplicated and heals appropriately, the appareance of the eye often returns to normal. With severe corneal ulceration, there can often be scar tissue associated with the ulcer causing some permanent cloudiness. Just make sure you follow all instructions recommended by your veterinarian for the optimal outcome.

Hello, sorry to hear about Layla. Ulcers do typically heal well within a couple of days in majority of cases. Some ulcers may be very deep, become infected, and need additional interventions which may leave as scar on his cornea. Her pupil is likely dilated from some of the medications she is on. Once the ulcer has healed, typically 5-7 days if superficial, her eye will be back to normal. Hope this helps and best of luck.
