my dog ate dark chocolate peanut cups. last night she hasn't thrown up but has been able to poop/diarrhea. she was hyperanxious but is quite and has slept she is drinking and has had breakfast. Is the worst over it has been over 12 hrs. She is a 20. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 9 years and 7 months old | 21 lbs

I think you are likely ok at this point. The chocolate at high doses can cause a racing heart rate and seizures, most significantly, but that would have happened by now. Also, it takes quite a bit of dark chocolate for this to happen, and usually the candy like PB cups doesn’t actually have much real chocolate in it. A bar of pure bakers chocolate is much more dangerous. At this point, you’re most likely to have some diarrhea symptoms that should taper off with time. If they don’t, see your vet for anti-diarrhea medications. Hope that helps!
