Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 8 months old | 18 lbs
My cat is over weight & her vet recommended she loose weight. I feed her twice a day, around 1/4 of a cup dry food, Isms weight loss. She has fresh water available all day. Does she need wet food too?

Your question all depends on what your veterinarian thought was necessary for your cat to drop the weight. But no, cats do not need wet food at all in their diet unless they have a urinary tract condition. As long as you follow the feeding guidelines from your veterinarian as well as the instructions on the back of your food bag, your cat should lose the weight as expected. Please be aware that anything else you give the cat such as treats etc. will delay the weight loss. Thanks a lot for your question. I hope I have given you some help
