Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 7 days old
My week old puppy has been crying non stop for a for a while. At first I thought that she was constipated so I gave her a warm water enema. It worked and she pooped she was relieved for a little while but she kept crying later. Then the next morning I found that her eye was swollen but she hasn't opened her eyes yet. I think she might have an eye infection but I can't afford to see a vet right now. Is there any home remedies or something I can do for her. I don't want her to be in pain anymore.

Hi there and thank you for using PetCoach to address your concern. If you think that there is an eye infection, you can try and use a product from Petco such as ( ) and apply to the eye twice daily until resolved. If the eye worsens or does not improve, then I would recommend having her examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
