Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 22 days old
I just rescued a rabbit i was told she had her eye scratched eye. So now her eye has a white spot and its oozing. But she is eating and drinking and going to the bathroom and exploring. Like a normal bunny so should i just keep it clean? Well it heal on its own

If your bunny has an eye ulcer and an actual puncture to her eye, that is unlikely to heal on it's own and she could lose the eye if it gets infected inside the eye or the eye perforates. She needs to see a vet to get some meds into the eye and probably oral meds as well. They can do a test to see how deep the scratch on the eye is to help get her better.

It sounds like Bunny had a corneal scratch/ulcer that is healing now. Typically we treat these with a topical antibiotic ointment placed directly on the cornea. I would still recommend taking her in to have the eye evaluated, because if she is still squinting it hasn’t completely healed yet. In the meantime you can gently wipe any discharge around the eye with a clean wet warm cloth to prevent further irritation around the eye. Is she isn’t squinting, she likely will be ok and has healed completely on her own, which you should feel grateful for, since this rarely happens. Corneal scratches are caused by some kind of trauma to the eye itself, which isn’t a common occurrence. Best wishes with your pet Bunny moving forward. Best wishes and take care.
