Our dog has longish white worms in her stool. She has not showed any signs of worms till a couple of hours ago when we noticed them. She has not been herself today at all. She would not eat or drink. We only recently got her to eat/drink by bribing her with ham (her first time eating table food). She is getting her energy back and will be going to the vet in the morning when they open. Is there any precautions we should take tonight? Or preventive measures for the future?

You should wear gloves while handling stool and wash your hands afterwards - if she has hookworms or roundworms there is potential for spread to people although it is rare and most common in young children or people who are immunocompromised. The best preventative for the future would be to start Ladi on a monthly heartworm preventative - nearly all heartworm preventatives will also cover intestinal parasites. In the morning your veterinarian can run a stool analysis and determine what type of worms they are by identifying the eggs, and prescribe dewormer.
