Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! I would worry that he has an allergy to something, either in the environment, his food or via contact. You can try benadryl to see if it helps but if it doesn't I would have him seen by your Vet for an exam. There are lymph nodes in the arm pit area. Personally I don't like how swollen and circumscribed it is and would ideally want to feel the areas. https://www.petcoach.co/pet-medication/benadryl/ Good luck!

Yes, the scanning and redness are not normal. They can indicate itching or skin infection. Puppies are also prone to skin mites and the veterinarian may check for these. Have Atlas examined by the veterinarian. Best of luck.

Thanks for using PetCoach. The picture didn’t come through perfectly on my end but it looks like you are talking about some redness in the armpit area. This is most often related to allergies. This is a common “itchy spot” during an allergy flare up. Try a skin strengthening dog shampoo (my favorite is Duoxo Calm). Consider trying Benedryl as well- see link below. https://www.petcoach.co/pet-medication/benadryl/ If no improvement in two weeks or if worsening in any way, it’s time to see your vet.
