Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year old
My cat for the past few weeks has had problems holding in some of her poop. She would jump on a bed and leave behind just a little bit. She also hasn't had a good solid poop for about the same amount of time. We tried to feed her some fresh grass to see if it's just certain natural nutrients she needed and it helped a little. She gets plenty of water and eats a little bit of food throughout the day. Might there be a stomach bug for cats going around?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Loose stools or problems with defecation can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Mavis evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
