Why does my 4-month puppy still have loose stools after vet said normal?

My 4 month old puppy has had loose stools for a week. I started adding rice to his food and that worked for 1 day but now he has a nugget that comes out and then the rest is runny. I feed him diamond naturals grain free lamb,rice and vegetable for large breed dogs and he’s been on this food for almost 2 months , he has already had all his vaccinations and the vet tested his feces and it was all normal. I have been told to give 100% real pumpkin with his food ? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 1 day old | 35 lbs

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Beau reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. With many parasites, the a fecal test is not always going to be positive even if infected. They may choose to recheck for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. Pumpkin could help though it is not very likely. If you would like to try, give him 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin with his meals. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
