I got my puppy from a breeder 5 days ago, he seemed fine but a little upset. Then Wednesday he wouldn't eat and threw up that night. Thursday toon him to vet and threw up and diagnosed him with hookworm and tapeworm. Got medicine but he still throws up and I see no improvement from him. He just lays down all day and won't get up and has diaherra with blood and won't eat or drink. He also had a fever of 102 but the vet fixed thag with a shot. But the pills aren't working

Hi there! Sorry to hear that Kaiser is not feeling well. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Kaiser reevaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they can address dehydration if present and start him on anti-nausea medications. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your boy!
