Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 2 days old | 10 lbs
My new puppy has gone potty in his crate a few times. I try to let him out in the night if I wake up to him whining, and he has successfully gone a few time in the night. But the last few times he has gone in the crate overnight, and has also gone when I have been away for 2 hrs. I got him 6 days ago...is it too soon to expect anything else? I was hoping he would learn to not go in his crate, and I don't want it to become a normal thing for him.

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach. An 8 week old puppy can't be expected not to potty in the crate. But as you train him and he gets older he will learn not to. Here are some good resources for puppy training. https://drsophiayin.com/tag/puppy-training/ https://www.vin.com/veterinarypartner/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=8562851
